A big shout out to one of our photographers David Lim…
It was his big 2-5 birthday yesterday! This fella is quite the weirdo, loving country music, line dancing, playing with DNA molecules…
but he’s also one of the most talented and multi-faceted people I know.
He’s biked across the country, coast to coast- traveled to numerous countries, snapping some amazing pictures- and knows the most random facts, such as how many years apart my mom is to my sister (don’t ask). All in all, dude is rocking life and juggling so much on his plate…. successfully. (peep his site: www.davidhenrylim.com)
Can’t wait to see where this guy will be 5 years from now when he hits the big 30. Cheers Dlim.

Introducing David Lim.
He’s one of our photographers, shown here in his most natural habitat: on his Macbook, with a coffee.Let me share some quick weirdies about this guy
1. He loves country music
2. He loves to go line dancing
3. Plays the trumpet
4. He is a fencer (got scholarships in school for fencing)
5. He used to sit at home making model DNA structures (or something like that)…for fun
6. Now in his free time, he likes to don headphones and try to learn different rap songs… (no, seriously)There’s more… a lot, lot more. He’s possibly one of the weirdest people I know.
but he’s super talented at taking photos and can catch some really dope shots.
this is one of my favorite wedding shoots that he did: Aenny+David(Levi 513’s// JCrew cardigan// Parnis watch// Club Monaco glasses)
cheers to being weird,

My friend’s blog did a feature on me!
Some of my favorite nights these past couple months have actually been spent somewhere, elsewhere, tucked away stocked up on publications to read… one of them of course being my Gentlemen’s Quarterly.
It’s good, healthy for my manhood… It keeps me feeling GQ gentleman-ly; after reading through an issue I find myself opening doors and paying for dinners. I adjust my tie sharper, tuck in my belly and puff out my chest… there is an automatic switch over in my tunes as I walk the line with Mr. Cash.
Ladies, if your man ain’t up to par and acting like a total wuss, subscribe him to some magazines. Print is dying, completely losing this cyber battle, and the males of society are suffering visibly.
Every man should have a print magazine to escape to… man-drenched words to burrow in.(O’Hanlon Mills sweater// JCrew Utility shirt// Sperry Top-siders// & Apple earpods// photos by David)

A soldier serving in Iraq was upset when his girl wrote breaking off their engagement and asked for her photograph back. He went out, collected a bunch of photographs of women from his buddies, bundled them together, and sent them to her with a note saying,
“I regret to inform you that I cannot remember which one is you- please keep your photo and return the others.”
Got em!
On a real-er note, though, props to our soldiers out and about in uniform… whether they’re deployed or not, thank you for the service.
While the rest of us are here, chillin as we civilians do, we’ll keep the camo in style and rock our gear in army make-believe.
One of our favorite past-times: running around town, riding PARKING signs as snowboards…
huh? what’s our IQ level? oh… why do you ask?(OBEY pants// JCrew watchstrap// & Air Max// photos by David)

As with most people in America, I decided to improve my fitness with the new year. I had a lot of different motivations that drove me to start. First of which was physical looks. I have always and probably always will be considered skinny. Now I don’t hate this fact and too be honest a lot of times I am grateful for it. Still I am a bit self-conscious about and wanted to put on a bit more “healthy” mass.
The second reason why I decided to work on my fitness was so I can do things. I’ve always been the type of person to enjoy adventures and challenges, but my body hasn’t been able to keep up with my desires. One of my major goals is to run a marathon….I will run a marathon…eventually. To do this, I’ll need my body at peak physical shape.
Now this is not my first foray into personal fitness. I’ve tried going to gym a couple of times in the past, all with no avail. I decided to do things a bit differently this time and chose crossfit. I’ve heard it was a great way to get fit and that the community aspect made things a whole lot better.
I’ve gone for a couple of months now and can say without a doubt that it is awesome. I really do think that the community of crossfit has made things a lot more fun than just going to the gym. The competitive nature of it also goes along with my personality. I hope one of these I’ll be able to post a before/after photo and have everyone comment on how jacked I look, but seriously I’m just excited for the prospect of living life harder, better, faster, stronger!
